Hello and Welcome !
My name is Andrew Macdonald and I am an award winning photographer and videographer from Scotland, based out of Cape Town.
I am very passionate about helping clients put visuals behind their brand to help better portray their ethos and story.
I offer a range of photography and videography services from wildlife, luxury safari lodges, exclusive island destinations, experiential activities, private photographic guiding and video editing.

Marketing Photography
I can produce a wide range of high quality photography including accommodation, wildlife, environment, adventure, drone, staff and lifestyle. I have vast experience in the luxury safari industry but can adapt to shoot an array of properties and adventures from luxury camps in Antarctica to Air B&B’s in the Scottish Highlands.
Videography
Videography is now the most successful form of marketing and I can bring your brand to life and tell your story with my work. This can range from long form videos down to short Instagram REELS which, due to the ever shortening attention spans of audiences, are the most engaging style of content on social media.
Wildlife Photography
Perhaps my favourite genre of photography is wildlife. I am very passionate about the natural world and as a result I am always in my happy place when viewing an animal through my lens
Photography Workshops & Tours
Sharing my knowledge and experience in photography is a big passion of mine. On my photography workshops I get to fulfil that passion and help others live their bucket list dreams.
Video Editing
Have you accumulated lots of footage over time and don’t know what to do with it? Maybe you want to revamp an existing video. Let’s have a talk and I can arrange that footage into a beautiful new promotional video for you to send out into the world and engage with potential clients.
Editing Tutorials
If you want to learn more about editing your photos then I also offer online editing tutorials. Whether you are new to editing or just need some inspiration I can teach you my workflow. I can walk you through my approach and workflow to my wildlife, landscape, adventure and property photography. Editing tutorials can also be offered to guests when on a photographic safari.

In 2022 I was hired to create content for White Desert in Antarctica. Talk about a dream come true! They had just opened their new camp called Echo. It’s designed to look and feel like a space base so that’s the feel I portrayed in this video.
Voice of the Plains is a video I created for Time + Tide to show the wonders of Liuwa Plain in Zambia. Over the years Liuwa has become one of my favourite locations to shoot. We wanted to portray the vastness of the plains and the feeling that Liuwa truly does capture your heart.
